This year’s Met Gala 2013 “Punk: From Chaos To Couture” gives celebrities a chance to really make a style statement and take the fashion risk they normally would be crucified for at the Academy Awards. Considered one of the glitziest events of the year as well as the “Super Bowl of red carpets. Our favorite celebs seemed really confused by this year’s theme. Our worst-dressed celebrities ended up lost in translation. Needless to say it makes for good morning conversation here at our headquarters. I’m completely obsessed with Madonna and was extremely confused as to why she would go dressed the way she did…Out of everyone at that party she could have been the best dressed… No one knows punk, grunge and couture like her…..My interpretation of what she wore screamed “F*CK YOU”….Then again as she lullabies in her song ” I don’t give a F*CK”

Ricardo Tisci dressed Kim K and Rumor has it was a do or die situation or she wasn’t getting invited to the METGALA…. How true that is….We will never really know… Unless we check in with Perez Hilton and he always seems to have the 411…..kIM’S DRESS A DISASTER……Then again everyone on that table except for a few were all disasters…..

Zandra Rhodes now this woman is a true pioneer in punk fashion. WTF was she thinking? When I worked as a stylist, I used her dresses on many occasions and I’m flabbergasted by her choice in attire for that particular evening.

The list could go on for the offenders of the evening, but at this point the ADD has kicked in and I’m bored.

The one that didn’t disappoint…..

Seems like my creative juices started to flower again. My brain cells are budding like cherry blossoms and all I want to do is CREATE & DECORATE!!! Last week, I was meaning to write on the blog and post pictures of my latest window installment. I wish I had more time to do everything I envision. If I could, my windows, online and brick and mortar store would be out of this world and at times very trippy. My imagination runs like the energizer bunny and I need to draw and write most of my ideas. Otherwise, I forget it as quickly as it came to me.  I can start a window with one of my ideas and then it just does not work. Before you know it, I have spent 5 hours putting together a window just to spend another 2 hours to take it down. Its stinks to be a neurotic……

I also want to apologize to y’all that my online store is not as updated as it should be. I will be purchasing lighting equipment and making more time to shoot the clothes. I promise you and me.

Although it seemed like it on Saturday! Torrential rain and 50-70 MPH winds left their mark in Brooklyn. There were a couple of downed trees a few blocks away from Lola’s and we’re so glad no one was hurt.

Spring is almost here and we got 3 styles of our much anticipated Melissa/Vivienne Westwood Shoes! By mid-week, the weather should cooperate and you all can step out in these 100% vegan, bubblegum smelling rubber shoes.
